California lyricist and former XXL Freshman Blu is ready to return to store shelves under the alias “B.”
B’s lo-fi, internet-only release, Jesus, will finally get a proper release, and shipping out to stores next month courtesy of Nature Sounds Records.
Jesus was first uploaded to a popular music site, bandcamp, by Blu, calling himself “B,” but fans quickly realized it was indeed the latest offering from the L.A. rapper. Within hours, the LP had spread to many music blogs, garnering much attention along the way.
Now Blu—recently recognized by XXL as one of rap’s top independent artists—
is back, planning the release of CD, fully mastered with production by Madlib, Alchemist and Hezekiah, among others.
